Raylin Diaz is, first and foremost, a storyteller.

 

With a sharp eye for aesthetics and an endless supply of curiosity, Raylin has cultivated a reputation for his enchanting visual stories and flawless production values. His work has garnered several design awards, and been featured in Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, the New York Times, Paper Magazine, Elle, Santo Domingo Times, WWD, and W Magazine.

Raylin has had the privilege of collaborating with the most iconic brands on earth, such as Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Oscar de la Renta, Diane von Furstenberg, Alexander McQueen, The Row, Dries Van Noten, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, and Fendi. Best known for his work as Creative Director of windows for the iconic Saks Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York City, Raylin has also served as Creative Director with RSquared, a leading US windows production company; Creative Lead of Visual Presentation for Diane von Furstenberg; and Creative Assistant to Dominican CFDA designer Sully Bonnelly. In 2020, Raylin launched Marchanta, a brand of luxurious, unique and responsible home décor and accessories.

Raylin’s formal training in fine arts and architecture inform his unique storytelling sensibility. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in architecture from the Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra and a graduate degree in Interior Design and Architecture Studies from the Parsons School of Design in New York City.

Through the lens of his Caribbean heritage, Raylin explores divergent perspectives, allowing surprising new stories to take shape. A connector of people, cultures, and ideas, Raylin has proudly showcased the work of many up-and-coming local and international artists, such as Yolanda Naranjo, Veronica Gallinger, Seth Van Kirk, Beau Nelson, Osvaldo Cruz, Guilherme Licurgo, Samuel Ben Shalom, Vin Servillon, Meagan Morrison and Edward Granger.
